Born and raised in China, Yinghui is a bilingual director and writer passionate about crafting empowering stories that explore womanhood, identity, and transformation. Deeply inspired by Gabriel García Márquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude, Yinghui loves weaving magical realism and surrealism into her storytelling. She likes exploring the complex aspects of human conditions through a magical realist lens in a fictional world built upon imagination and empathy.

Yinghui’s films have been selected in over 20 film festivals worldwide. Slobopoly (2023), a web series pilot she directed, won the Best Comedy Series at the 43rd College Television Awards judged by Television Academy members.
